It is with great sadness and very heavy hearts that the family of the late Florence Osmond, announces her passing with her loving family by her side on Monday, June 2nd, 2025 at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL at the age of 94 years. Born in Middle Barachois, NL, Florence was the daughter of the late Hughie and Ada Francis (nee Carter), and predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years; John Charles Osmond, brothers and sisters; Joseph, Francis, John Osmond, Hughie (Mary) Osmond, Stanley Osmond (Elizabeth Seaward), Wallace (Minnie) Osmond, Harriett Osmond, Bernard Osmond (Winifred Wall), Isaac Osmond, Richard (Sadie) Osmond, Cyril Osmond, She was also predeceased by brothers and sisters in law; Absalom (Susan) Osmond, Raymond Osmond, Edgar Osmond; Lillian (Thomas) Osmond, Margaret (George) Jeans, Ralph (Susie) Osmond. George Allen and Elise Osmond.

Florence leaves behind with many fond and precious memories, her children; Marlilyn (Wayne) Osmond, Sylvia (Ricky) Pearce, Michelle (Charlie) Osmond, her grandchildren; Terry(Alicia), Justin (Jennifer) and Chantelle, her great-grandchildren; Hayley, Cameron, Jemma, Serenity and Mckinley, sisters in-law; Rita, Joan, Marion, Ethel Allen, Joyce (Harold) Janes, plus a very large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Florence cherished her years working at the fish plant, often humouring her family and friends with stories from her time there. She was well known for her spirit and quick wit, never hesitating to speak her mind and always making sure she had the last word. Florence also treasured her childhood in Middle Barachois, a peaceful place that held a special place in her heart. She will be deeply missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 4th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m and at St. John the Evangelist Church, Cape Ray, NL. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 5th at 1P.M . from St. John The Evangelist Church in Cape Ray officiated by Rev. Joshua. Interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in memory of Florence can be made to the family.
