Evelyn Mary LeRiche (née Myles)
September 24, 1928 – July 8, 2025

It is with profound love and gratitude for a life well lived — rich in happiness, faith, and devotion — that the family of Evelyn Mary LeRiche (née Myles) announce her peaceful passing on July 8, 2025, surrounded by family at the Health Science Centre in St. John's.

Born in Terrenceville, Evelyn was the youngest child of John and Julia Myles. She was predeceased by her beloved siblings Archibald, William, John, and her only sister, Lillian. As a teenager, Evelyn moved to Port aux Basques, where she met and married the love of her life, Kenneth. Their bond was deep and enduring, and we take comfort in knowing they are now reunited.

Evelyn's greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories with her sons John (Margaret) and Chesley (Kay); grandchildren Jody (Scott), Melissa (Gerry), Kenneth (Ashley), Timothy (Caitlin), and Jonathon (Stephanie); and her treasured great-grandchildren: Zachary, Chloe, Casey, Jake, Nathan, Kaileigh, Auston, Tilley, and Cassidy. She will also be lovingly remembered by many special nieces and nephews, and a small but close circle of family and friends.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the doctors and staff of 4NB for their compassionate care in Evelyn's final days.

Visitation will take place at East Haven Funeral Home on Monday, July 14th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM with the funeral service to follow at St. James' Anglican Church at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15th. Donations can be made in honor of Evelyn to a charity of ones' choice.
