It is with great sadness that the family of Evelyn Leamon announces the passing of their mom on Friday, April 23 ^rd , 2021 at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL at the age of 99 years.

Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, George; her parents; George Dawe and Louise Anstey, ten siblings; and sons-in-law, Alex Chaulk and Thomas MacDonald. Evelyn was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Evelyn will be missed and forever loved by her ten children, Florence Chaulk of Timberlea, NS, Eva (Felix) Boutilier of Lower Sackville, NS, Jane MacDonald of St. John's, NL, Mary (Charles) Peck of Catalone, NS, Georgina (Williard) Hayes of Timberlea, NS, Donna (Chesley) Hancock of Codroy Valley, NL, Keith (Marilyn) Leamon of Fort McMurray, AB, Barry Leamon (Sheila) of Burnt Islands, NL, Gerald (Joan) Leamon of Fox Creek, AB, Tony (Marjorie) Leamon of Victoria, BC, plus a large number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Evelyn will also by sadly missed by her special friend Myrtle Chaulk plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Evelyn was an avid quilt maker and loved a great game of 120's. We would like to thank the staff of Mountain Hope Manor for the care and kindness they gave mom while she was a resident and a special thank you to the staff of Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre for the care, support and kindness we were shown while she was there.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 25 ^{t h} from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 27 ^th , at 2:00 p.m. from St. George's Anglican Church in Burnt Islands officiated by The Rev. Canon Jeffrey Petten. Interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road, NL. The funeral service will be by invitation only. In lieu of flowers, donations in Evelyn's memory can be made to a charity of one's choice.
