It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Ethel Chaisson (nee Hibbs ) announces her passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Mon day, May 2 8 ^th , 2018 at the age of 8 7 years. Born in St. Andrew's , NL. Ethel was the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Hibbs (nee Knowling). She was also predeceased by her husband Michael Joseph Chaisson in 2012; father and mother-in-law Simon and Margaret Chaisson (nee Gale); infant son; brothers Samuel (Veronica) Hibbs, George Hibbs, Reg Hibbs, William Hibbs, Kenneth Hibbs; sisters Anne (Tom) L ewi s, Lucy Smith, Marcella Hibbs; sisters-in-law Mary (Albert) McNeil and Agnes Ze lc h.

In keeping with Ethel's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Wednes d ay, May 30 ^th from 2-4 pm with a wake service taking place from 7-9 pm at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church in Upper Ferry , NL f rom where the Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thurs day, May 31 ^st at 11 a m officiated by Father Lee Lainey interment to follow at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Cemetery in Searston , NL. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Ethel 's memory can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
