It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts, that the family of Elsie McNeil, announce her peaceful passing on Tuesday, August 5th, 2025 at the Western Long Term Care Home in Corner Brook NL at the age of 89 years old. Born in Port Aux Basques, NL Elsie was the daughter of the late Llewelyn and Emily Gaulton (Kettle). She was predeceased by her beloved husband William; children Yvonne and Colleen; brothers Clifford, Stewart, George and Isaac and her parents-in-law.

Leaving to mourn with beautiful and fond memories, her children David (Sandra), Judy (Fredrick), Vivian (Dave), Tony (Christine), Audrey (Derrick), Bonnie, Karen (Jeff) and Roger; Sisters Julie, Maisie, Viola (Jordan), Shirley, Doreen (Ernest), Joyce (Matthew), Joan (Bert) and Norma; and brothers Llewelyn (Linda), Norman and Nelson; 19 Grandchildren and 16 Great-grand children.

Elsie has now joined the love of her life, reunited in the peace of eternity. They were inseparable in life- where one was, the other was always close behind. Their days were filled with simple joys; mornings spent berry picking and quiet afternoons casting lines into calm waters, enjoying each others company with laughter and shared love. Though her absence leaves a deep ache, there is some comfort knowing they are together again. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and a deep love for her children who will carry her spirit in cherished memories.

In keeping with Elsie's wishes, there will be a viewing on Friday August 8st, 2025 from 2-4 PM and 7-9PM with family prayer to follow the later visitation at East Haven Funeral Home, 57 Grand Bay Road, Port Aux Basques. Cremation will follow and internment will take place at a later date. Donations can be made to a charity of ones choice in Elsie's Memory.
