It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth Maria Francis (nee Osmond) announces her peaceful passing on Monday June 15, at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center at the age of 90 years. Born in Port aux Basques, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late William and Priscilla Osmond, she was also predeceased by her husband Frederick, son Howard, grandson Melvin, granddaughter Tracey, great granddaughter Lee Ann, 5 brothers, 3 sisters, son in laws; Basil Kendall and Harold Day. She leaves to mourn with many loving and precious memories her children; Fred (Cavella), Cedella (Vince), Geraldine (Wilfred) all of Port aux Basques, Bernice of Lewisporte NL, Audrey (Sidney), Albert (Julia), Thomas (Nancy) all of Port aux Basques. Joanne (Steve) St. John's NL, Debbie of Doyles, Claude (Marilyn) Halifax NS, Leona (Jim) Port aux Basques, Godfrey (Marilyn) Saskatchewan, Benny (Cathy) New Brunswick, 31 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren, sister Gladys Sheaves, brother in law Gordon (Peggy) Francis and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends including her extended family at the Long Term care Unit of Legrow Health Center where she resided for the last number of years. Visitation took place on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Thursday June 18, 2 PM at St. James Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Rev. George Critchell. Interment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill.
