Surrounded by loved ones, our lives were forever changed on February 27, 2024 as we announce the peaceful passing of our dear husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend Earl (Deon) Billard at his home in Isle aux Morts, NL, at the age of 54.

Deon leaves behind many precious memories with his loving wife of 22 years; Henrietta (nee Thorne). He also leaves behind his pride and joy; his son, Griffin. Father and Mother Earl and Pauline Billard (nee Lefrense); sister, Trudy (Terrence); his faithful companion, Marley.
He will also be dearly missed by his father and mother in-law, Fred and Blanche Thorne; brothers in-law, Kenny (Lydia) and Stanley; sister in-law, Vicki (Shawn); nieces and nephews, Kendra (Kiley), Kyle (Carly), Kirkland (Jordan), Kalen, Wesley, and Perry; his four God Children; special friend, Brian Coleman; plus a very large circle of extended family and friends.

Deon had a smile that would light up the room and a personality to match. A faithful friend to everyone, he was always there to lend a helping hand, no matter what it was- or who it was. A true outdoors man who loved spending time at his cabin with his family and loved ones.  No matter if it were fishing, moose hunting or partridge hunting, Deon was the first on the quad or in the boat to go. His witty charm meant he was never short of a quick comeback or a joke.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Solomon and Susanna Billard; Walter and Elsie LeFrense; great-grandmother and grandfather Ball, plus five uncles and one aunt.

In keeping with Deon's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be welcoming friends and loved ones on Friday, March 1st, 2024 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, March 2nd at 2:00pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. Donations in Deon memory can be made to the family.
