It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Douglas Jordan Baird announce his passing at Western Memorial Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 39 years, with family by his side.
Born in port aux Basques, NL. He is the son of Karen Baird. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Gerry Baird; great grandmother, Mary Hatch; and cousin, Robert (Bob) Findlay.
Jordan leaves to mourn with loving memories his mom, Karen (Mike); nan, Phyllis; aunt Joanne, aunt Pat (Dale); Uncle Gerry and Aunt Darlene; cousins, Tina, Shawn, Joshua, Jonathon, Daniel, Christopher and Myla; sister, Tiffany Downey; brother, Arthur Lomond; plus a large circle of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Jordan also leaves to mourn his girlfriend and son, Aimee and Deon Woods who he loved dearly.
Jordan was in cadets growing up and he enjoyed it to the fullest. He moved to B.C. with us. He drove truck, but got homesick for the island, came back and settled here. Jordan met Aimee and settled in West Bay, Stephenville for the past number of years. He had a large circle of friends there he loved and always spoke of them. He enjoyed life to the fullest.
