Donald
Ingram
Apr 11, 1953 — May 2, 2024
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Donald "Donnie" Ingram, announce his passing on May 2nd 2024. Donnie passed peacefully, with loved ones by his side, at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, at the age of 71.
Born to the late Joseph and Mary (Nee Osmond) Ingram, he was also predeceased by his father and mother in law; Issac and Caroline Pearce, his brothers in law; James, Frank (Esther) and Reginald and sisters in law, Eileen, Jean, Julie, Anne and Catherine.
Donnie leaves to mourn; his loving wife of 28 years, Eva, Daughter Karen (Allison), grandsons Stephen (Emily) and William and great-grandson Jack, as well as his special niece, who was like a daughter, Nikita.
Family meant everything to Donnie and he leaves behind a large one; brothers; John, Robert (Linda), Lewis (Yvonne), Clyde (Brenda), Wince (Valerie), Kenneth and Jim (Kathy), sisters; Eileen (Russell, Elsie (Llewelyn), Loretta (Kenneth), Ruby (Bill) and Rowena, brothers in law, Hiram (Linda), Nelson (Marie), Lionel (Sylvia), Leo (Patsy), sisters in law, Mary Ellen (Reg), Ester (Jerry), Frances, and Daisy (Gerry) as well as an extensive circle of nieces, nephews and friends.
Donnie, known to many as Wolfman, was a handyman who was "at everything" and loved to help anyone and everyone in anyway he could. He was an active member of the St. Paul's Anglican Vestry.
Although he wasn't fortunate enough to have fathered his own child, he loved children and was a father figure to many. He was a lover of music and movies. Back in his younger days, he was the first in his circle to have a VCR and was the "traveling movie man". He enjoyed a drink on Saturday evenings while listening to his music and had recently developed a real love of reading Newfoundland history books. Donnie will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 7th, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m at East Haven Funeral Home Inc., 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques, NL.
