It is with great sadness that the family of the late David Robert Kitchen announces his passing on Sunday, February 17 ^th , 2019 at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL in his 81 ^st year. Born in Grand Falls – Windsor NL, David was the son of the late Hedley and Elizabeth (nee Downing) Kitchen. He was also predeceased by his daughter Susan Morayniss, brother John Kitchen, sister Margaret Thorne, sister in law Jennifer Kitchen, father and mother in law Llewelyn and Minnie (nee Goodyear) Brown. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his loving wife Karen (nee Brown) of 56 years. Loving father of Judy (Melvin) Campbell of Barrie ON, Janice Kitchen, and Sharon MacNeil of the Codroy Valley. He will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren; Lenny, Jacob, Gabriel Chelsea, Sophie, Emily and Angela. His brothers; Hubert Kitchen of St. John' s NL, Harold (Grace) Kitchen of Baddeck NS, George (Mary) Kitchen of Robinsons NL, sister in law Geraldine Kitchen of St. John's NL, brothers in law; George Thorne of Grand Falls – Windsor NL, Aubrey (Cassie) Brown of Trinity NL, Roger (Sharon) Brown of Kitchener ON, special friends Bernice Hodder, Wade Hodder, Joe Bruce and a large circle of nieces, nephews and many friends. In keeping with David's wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation taking place on Friday February 22 ^nd from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home Inc. In Port aux Basques, NL. A memorial service and interment of ashes will take place from St. Alban's Anglican Church, Bonavista Bay at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Alban's Anglican Church, Bonavista Bay.
