Though life had slipped, and earthly bound,
His spirit bright, forever found.
A final sleep, a peaceful rest,
Where love and solace are possessed.

We've brought him home, our darling son,
The journey done, the battle won.
And though our hearts will always weep,
We'll cherish dreams, and softly sleep.
