It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Darlene Marie Bryan (nee Strickland) announces her passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Saturday, February 9 ^th , 2019 at the age of 58 years. Born in Port aux Basques, NL, Darlene was the daughter of the late Josiah and Elizabeth Strickland (nee Baggs). She was also predeceased by her son Quentin Bond; brothers and sisters Ellen (Walter) Bond, Harriett (George) Thorne, Sydney Strickland, Robert (Elaine) Strickland, Wilson Strickland (Darlene Wells), Walter Strickland; father-in-law Henry Bryan; father and mother-in-law Archibald (Hazel) Bond; first husband Russell Bond and brother-in-law Archibald (Archie) Bond who died tragically at sea and niece Roberta Harvey.

She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving husband Dennis Bryan of 27 years and a most wonderful step-father to her sons Patrick (Kathy) Bond of Isle aux Morts, NL, Damien (Jody) Bond of Red Deer, AB; grandchildren Hailey, Owen, Jayden, Kayla, Maverek, Kingston; sisters Mariam (Rubert) Bond, Dora (Roland) Keeping; mother-in-law Melvina Bryan all of Burnt Islands, NL; daughter-in-law Cecilia Bryan of Port aux Basques, NL; brothers and sisters-in-law Karen (Wallace) Kinslow, Joy (Winston) Herritt, Jerome (Melida) Bryan, John (Michelle) Bryan, Faye (Trevor) Munden, Isabella (Seaward) Herritt, Elaine Hardy, Ki m (Ron) Ingram, Gloria Parsons all of Burnt Islands, NL, Ross (Paula) Bryan of Brantford, Ont, both Lynette Bryan and Rosalie (Shawn) Sack of Petawawa, Ont, Doreen Harvey of Isle aux Morts, NL, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 13 ^th and on Thursday, February 14 ^th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at her residence in Burnt Islands, NL. Funeral services taking place on Friday, February 15 ^th at 2 pm from the St. George's Anglican Church in Burnt Islands, NL officiated by The Rev. Jeffrey Petten, interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road, NL. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations can be made to the family.
