In Loving Memory

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and neighbor.

Born on Fox Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, he was the son of the late John William Vardy and Lucy Maude (MacDonald) Vardy. He was also predeceased by all of his brothers and sisters.

He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 62 years, Louise, and their children: Albert (Sandra), Beverly (William), George (Sherry), and Corey (Alisa).

He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Brittany (Josh), Krystal, and Joshua (Stephanie), and his great-grandchildren, Eliza, Rosalie, Jocelyn, and Sophia, who brought much joy and pride to his life.

He will also be deeply missed by his good friend, Harry Skinner, as well as his extended family, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

He was a kind and private man who was good to everyone he met. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, including fishing and hunting, a good game of darts.

His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be remembered for his kindness, his quiet nature, and the many memories he shared with his family and friends.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment will take place on Friday August 21, 2026 at St. James Anglican cemetery, procession starting at East Haven Funeral Home at 2 pm.
