Cynthia Enid Claudine Chaisson passed away peacefully in St. John's on December 18, 2024, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her husband Gordon, she is survived by her cherished fur-baby, Raffi; her special sister and caregiver, Sherry; and her sisters Sharon (Kevin), Sadie, and Gail (Sonny). She also leaves behind a large, loving family of nieces and nephews, including Crystal (Brad), who played a crucial role in Cynthia's medical journey; her two little ladies, Winter and Mya; Tracey and Connor; and dear friends Sue, Cora, Alice, and Patsy.

In her personal life, Cynthia was known for her selflessness, always giving her time and resources to uplift those around her. She improved our lives in countless ways, never seeking recognition, often saying, "I never did it for thanks."

Her absence will leave a significant void in the hearts of many, but her legacy of kindness and strength will be fondly remembered. Cynthia's unwavering wit and personal fortitude were especially evident in her final weeks, lifting the spirits of her family and friends as she approached the end of her journey.

The family extends their gratitude to the many healthcare providers involved in Cynthia's care, particularly the Community Health and Palliative Care teams. Special thanks to RN Kelly for her exceptional care and support, ensuring all necessary arrangements were in place.
