It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Cedella Gertrude "Gertie" Gillam (nee Osmond) announce her peaceful passing, with her loving family by her side, at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL at the age of 92 years.

Born in Mouse Island, NL. Gertie was the daughter of the late John Charles and Alice Joseanne Osmond. She was also predeceased by her husband, John Cecil Gillam, her son Bruce Gillam, grandson Travis McNeil, her brothers; John Charles and William; Sisters; Dorothy, Francis (James), Olive (Abraham), Alice (Wilson), brother in law Fredrick, and son in law Wayne Leamon.

With loving memories, Gertie leaves behind her precious children; Charlie (Della), Willie (Beat), Joanne, Danny (Karen), Gary (Kathy), Don (Yvonne), Pauline (Rick), Arch (Janice), Perry (Rhonda), and Amanda (Paul); her loving sister Viola, 20 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.

Friends and family are welcomed to visit on Sunday, June 23 rd 2:00 PM and 4:00 7:00-9:00 PM at East Haven Funeral Home Inc., 57 Grand Bay Road. As per her wishes cremation will take place and her funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 27th 2:00 PM at St. Jame's Anglican Church, Port aux Basques, NL, officiated by the Rev. Jane Allen. Internment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill, TCH. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gertie's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Association.
