It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Catherine (Cathy) Matthews announce her peaceful passing on Wednesday October 25th, 2023 at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre, at 65 years of age, with her family by her side.

Cathy will be forever loved and missed by her husband of 44 years, Lewis; her boys, Cory and Chris Matthews, and her pride and joy; her bonus daughter, Emily. She also leaves to mourn her father in-law, Fred Matthews; step-siblings, Nicole and Trevor Thomas; her in-laws, Carl (Darlene) Matthews and Trina Matthews (Wade Osmond) as well as a very large circle (to many to name) of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Cathy was a beautiful person that had smile that could warm your heart and a personality that made you instantly feel like you've known her all your life. She loved the outdoors, getting out for rides on the ATV and she thoroughly enjoyed getting to spend time at their trailer. She touched the lives of many and will be missed by all.

Cathy was predeceased by her mother and step-father Alma and Bill Samms; her father, Lloyd Thomas and her mother in-law, Edna Matthews.
