It is with great sadness that the family of the late Calvin Lomond announces his passing at his residence on August 5, 2015 at the age of 66 years. He was the son of the late Stanley and Lillian Lomond. He was also predeceased by his baby sister Cora, sisters Shirley Osmond and Jane Lillington, brother Samuel Lomond, brothers-in-law Harold Osmond, Thomas Carter, Ralph Osmond, and many deceased aunts and uncles. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his brothers and sisters Andrew (Debbie) Lomond, Wilfred (Elaine) Lomond, Julia Carter, Catherine (Fred) Osmond and Susie (Jerry) Osmond all of Port aux Basques, brother-in-law George Lillington, sisters-in-law Liz Lomond Port aux Basques, Betty Alley St. Davids, aunts Pearl Lomond, Mary Noseworthy and Susie Matthews of Port aux Basques, nieces, nephews and lifelong friend & second mother Marie Dicks, plus a large circle of special buddy friends. In keeping with Calvin's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation took place on Friday, August 7 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm from East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral service took place on Saturday, August 8 at 11:00 am from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Grand Bay with Rev. Stephen Maki officiating. Interment took place at St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Grand Bay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
