It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Bernice M Billard announce her peaceful passing on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024 at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL at the age of 75 years, with her loving family by her side. Born in Margaree, to the late Gordon and Ada Billard (nee Ingram). She was also predeceased by her brother-in-law Albert Herritt.

She leaves to mourn with precious memories her son, Steve; her daughter Nicole; and her pride and joy, her grandson Logan. She will also be missed by her brother Kelvin (Roma) Billard and her sister Joan Herritt, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends.

In her younger years, Bernice spent her days working at Billard's Fisheries, such a ball of fun, and her laughter floated through the air like the scent of fresh fish. Known affectionately as "Momma B," she had a warmth about her that made people feel at home. She could easily spot the good in everyone, always ready with a kind word or a funny joke to lift spirits. Friends and strangers alike adored her infectious spirit. Bernice loved to dance, and you could often find her listening to her favorite Elvis Presley songs, her face lighting up with joy.

In keeping with Bernice's wishes cremation has taken place. Family and friends are welcome to visit on Saturday, November 16th, 2024 from 1-3 PM at East Haven Funeral Home, 57 Grand Bay Road, Port aux Basques, NL. Funeral service to follow officiated by Rev. Ken Abbott. An interment will follow at a later date.
