Obituary

With heavy hearts, the family of the late Beatrice Savery announce her peaceful passing at the Dr. Charles L .LeGrow Health Center February 10, 2026 at the remarkable age of 101.

Beatrice was the daughter of the late James and Francis Kendall and was also predeceased by her beloved husband, John W. Savery. She was lovingly raised by her adoptive parents, Mom and Pop Herritt, who held a special place in her heart. Beatrice was also predeceased by her infant son, Kenneth; her sisters, Anne and Lucy; her sisters-in-law, Cedella, Cornelia, Edith, and Mary; and her brothers-in-law, Charlie, Raymond, Ozzie, Jim Allen, Kenneth, Gerald F., Gerald H., Earl and John.

Beatrice was a very social person and an active member of her community throughout her life. She was a devoted member of the Ladies Auxiliary, the ACW, the St. James Choir, and the 50+ Seniors Club. Known for her quick wit and warm smile, Beatrice loved a good joke and was just as good at telling one. An avid knitter, she continued to enjoy her needles right up until the end of her life.
