It is with great sadness that the family of the late Angus MacDonald announce his peaceful passing at the Dr. Charles Legrow Health Centre on June 21st, 2024, in his 86th year, surrounded by his loving family. Dad was an exceptional storyteller and local historian. He entertained his family for hours with tales of yesteryear and our once great fishery. He enjoyed a long-storied career as an engineer and was respected and loved by his colleagues until his well-deserved retirement in 2002 at the age of 65. He also enjoyed being a member of the Isle Aux Morts Lion Club. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, and road trips with his long-haul sidekick Perry. He loved a good old yarn with his friends, both young and old. He was a gentle, selfless, and loving father and grandfather to a family who adored and treasured him, and until it is time to meet and be together again, may the Lord hold him in the palm of his hand. Dad, go safely into the waiting arms of Mom who was the love of your life and please give her a kiss for us.
