It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alton (Reginald) Fiander announces his passing at St. Claire's Mercy Hospital in St. John's, NL on September 17 at the age of 55 years. He was the son of the late Eric Duncan Fiander, Rose Blanche, NL. He was also predeceased by his brother Bruce; nephew Lee Buckland; niece Emily Buckland; grandparents Rosie and Ward Harris, Victor and Margret Jane Fiander. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his mother; Katherine Fiander, Rose Blanche, NL; children; Joshua, Shana (Kevin) and Holly (Ryan); brother John Fiander; sister Karen Buckland; grandchildren Colton, Christian and Caleb; Nieces and nephews Eric Fiander, Megan Fiander, Bruce (Jody) Buckland, Ethan, Allie, Alexis (Jeremey) Keeping, Andrew, Victoria, and Liam Buckland plus a circle of aunts and uncles and many friends. In Keeping with Alton's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation took place on Tuesday, September 22 from 2-4 pm from East Haven Funeral Home with service to follow officiated by Lieutenants Christopher & Tonia Street. Interment to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
