Allan George Porter passed away peacefully at Colchester East Hants Health Center, Truro, NS, on Saturday February 15, 2020 at the age of 79 years. He was well known for his passion and skill for driving buses for CN and Gateway Buslines. He loved to spend his summers at his cabin in McDougall's beach and his winters in Florida.

He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Classie of 60 years of marriage, and two children, George (Maryanne), Maisie (George) Payne. Four Grandchildren; Allan (Jennifer), Georgette , Clarissa Simpson and Catherine (Grant) Patterson. Fifteen great grand children Matthew, Emily, Jenna, Madison, Abbi, Maddy, Camden, Caydence, Avery, Jacob, Ryder, Caiden, Callie, Clara and Charlotte. Sister Leona (Robert) Billiard. Sisters in law Gladys and Alma. Rose (Alan) Haley, as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews and many friends. He is predeceased by his parents Lewis and Bessie, sister Maude (Jake), Brothers Gilbert (Priscilla), Frank (Anne), Cecil and Claude.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services taking place on Thursday February 20, 2 pm at St. James Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Rev. Jane Allen and Rev. George Critchell. Interment will follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Flowers graciously accepted or donations in memory of Allan can be made to St. James Anglican Church.
