Alice M Pike

January 30th 1933 – May 15, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Alice Marion Pike (Allie) on May 15, 2026, at the age of 93.

Born in Channel/Port aux Basques, Allie went on to enjoy a full, lifelong career working in medical laboratories and diagnostic imaging across the island of Newfoundland. Her dedication to the healthcare field touched many lives, and she was a respected and valued colleague throughout her working years.

Allie was predeceased by her husband, Malcolm Charles Pike (Mac), and son, James Charles Pike (Jim). She will be fondly remembered by her son, Peter, and his wife, Hilary; her grandson, Leigh, and his wife, Laura; and her great granddaughters, Layla and Eavie; and her brother, Robert Billard (Bob).

She has left behind a large circle of family and friends across Newfoundland; Foxtrap, Gander, Fogo, and Channel/Port aux Basques and down the Eastern Seaboard of the United States.

Though she lived her most recent years in Halifax/Dartmouth close to immediate family, she was a fierce Newfoundlander proud of her heritage. And, I mean “fierce” as anyone who met her would quickly come to know. Those of you who know, know.

In Keeping with Allie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private interment service will take place at a later date at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Port aux Basques, NL. Funeral arrangements were in the care of East Haven Funeral Home Inc. 7096952300
