It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother on March 7th at Corner Brook Long Term Care. He has left us after a full life of love, laughter and adventure.

Alex loved fishing, hunting, playing his accordion, singing, dancing and teasing the little ones. He adored his boat, the Bonny and Bryon. He especially treasured his family.

Alex was predeceased by his parents, Nora and Raymond; his beloved son Byron; sister Alma Francis; mother and father in laws, Florence and Thomas Bond; sisters in law, Viola Bond, Diane Taylor, Dulcie Bond; brothers in law, Isaac Taylor, Johnny Francis, Cliff Bond, Lewis Bond and Bruce Wheaton.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Eileen; his beautiful daughter Bonny Bouchard (Karl); grand daughter Allison (Alley); grandsons Nico (Ashlyn DeMelo), Dominick (Lauren Mark), and Caden; great grandchildren Aurelia and Jordyn; sisters Maud Farrell (Tom) and Virginia Stone (Ivan); brothers Sidney (Judy), Garland (Kay) and Brian (Cathy); sisters in law, Vera Herritt, Rose Brinston, Gloria Bond and Brenda Wheaton; brothers in law Phil Bond (Joan), Melvin Bond (Reta), Gary Bond (Delores), and Kevin Bond (Gail); numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends locally and abroad (Sweden, Norway, England, Portugal, Nova Scotia and USA).

A much deserved appreciation and thanks go to the staff of 3 South, Corner Brook Long term whose patience and professionalism will be forever remembered. The attention to his welfare and care for Eileen has made for a peaceful end of life journey.
