It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Albert James Carter announce his peaceful passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Monday, April 26 ^th , 2021 at the age of 85 years. Born in Port aux Basques, NL, Albert was the son of the late Leslie and Rosanna Carter (nee Baggs). He was also predeceased by his son; Wayne Carter; sisters; Winnie Carter, Eileen (George) Kuhl, brothers; Leslie Carter, Bob Carter, Cecil Carter, father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Hazel Reid (nee Stanley); brothers-in-law; Wallace Reid, Don Reid, Ralf Reid, Arthur (Violet) Reid, Thomas (Shirley) Reid, Alan (Ruby) Reid, sisters-in-law; Christine Carter, Violet (Don) Vautier, and Mary (Ben) Bennett.

Albert leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his loving wife of 66 years Daisy Carter (nee Reid), children; Judy (Emanuel) Bolt, David (Cindy) Carter, Geraldine (Bill) Coffin, grandchildren; Michael Bolt, Jeffrey Bolt, Christopher Coffin, Crystal Gosney, Gordon Carter, Megan White, great-grandchildren; Damon Gosney, Brianna Bolt, Thomas Bolt, Aiden Bolt, brothers; Charlie (Daphine) Carter, Winston Carter, sister; Linda (Albert) Ingram, sisters-in-law; Ruby (Ron) Callahan, Jean (Victor) Fieild, Madelyn (Phil) Ford, brothers-in-law; Fred (Maxine) Reid, Cecil (Donna) Reid. Albert will be forever missed by his special nephew; George Kulh, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In keeping with Albert's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a graveside memorial service on Friday, September 24 ^th , 2021 (weather permitting) at 11:00 a.m. from St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill officiated by Rev. Jane Allen.
