Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and loving memories, we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, uncle whose larger than life personality touched everyone.  Albert Thomas Enwood passed away peacefully with loved ones always by his side  at age 74 years of age on February 4th, 2026.

Albert was predeceased by his parents Hubert and Susanna Enwood, sister Bessie, brothers Harvey (Geraldine) and Bruce.  Mother in law Elsie and father in law Stan.  Brother in law Arthur Best, Darcy Hardy, William Horwood (Mary), Wilson Horwood, sister in laws Margaret Hickey (Gerald), Harriet Hardy (Cecil) and Irene Coleman (Joe)

He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his loving family- his beloved wife Selena, his pride and joy daughter Janice (Dave Barter) and "son "Shawn Horwood (Lynn).  Sisters Audrey Best, Eva Kettle (Noble), Phyllis, Deanna (Joe), Marina (Ray), Goldie, and brothers Hubert (Shelley) and sister in law Debbie and brother in law Charlie Sampson.  Sister in law Lucy (Keith Lemoine), Daphne (Wayne Edwards) and Linda Horwood and George Billard.  Caregiver/Niece Kathy Savoury (Craig) along with a large circle of extended family including nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was truly happy go lucky - always ready with a smile, a laugh or good natured prank.  Tough as they come but soft where it mattered most, he had a heart as big as the outdoors.  He took pride in working with his hands, building things meant to last, and helping others whenever he could.   Whether he was out fishing, riding his quad, or simply enjoying nature. Family meant everything to him.  Devoted husband and Dad, endlessly supportive, and deeply proud of those he loved.  His sense of humor and pranks, were always done with laughter and love.  He will be remembered for his strength, kindness, love and joy he brought to so many.  Stories, laughs and memories he leaves behind will live on forever.   He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Blecher, Paula Harvey (Administration), Dr. Murphy, Dr. Fudge, Dr. Chaulk, and Dr Bergstrom for their compassionate care and dedication. A heartfelt thank you to the Dialysis teams in both Port aux Basques and Corner Brook, all nurses that cared for him, as well as the Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services team, Craig and Medicine Shoppe staff for their kindness, professionalism, and support throughout this journey. Your care and compassion meant more to our family than words can express.
