Obituary

With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Mr. Albert Graham Donaldson, who left us on July 16, 2025 . Born on February 26, 1954 to the late Ivan and Jean Donaldson, Don, as he was affectionately known to all, was a quiet, hardworking man who touched the lives of many.

He is survived and dearly missed by his partner of 27 years Joanne Anderson. His children Cavelle MacArthur (Tony), William Donaldson (Candace),  Jeannie Johnston (Robin) and Kylie Anderson (Jullien). He will also be missed by his Grandchildren Brock, Tia, Chase, Kaleb, Kevin, Autumn, James and Jacob. Don will also be missed by his siblings Betty, Will (Diana), Doreen (Tony), Scott (Vicki), Vera (Eugene) and his brother in laws Nelson (Ann) and Ronnie Musseau and his lifelong friend Leo Downey.  As well as many nieces, nephews and God Children.

Don was predeceased by his sister Joan Musseau, infant siblings Ivan, Ida and Walter. His brother-in-law, John Samms, and his infant son, Clifford Anderson.

Don was a man of simple tastes and enjoyments. His favorite spot was in "At the bus," a place away from all the hustle and bustle of life. Don enjoyed his "Ron Carioca rum"  and spent many hours with his buddies Nelson, Leo and Cyril, hunting, fishing and simply having a drink. Don wasn't a man for speed and excitement, but he absolutely loved watching races and NASCAR events with his buddy Devon. Don never missed his NTV news hour.

Don spent his whole life working in the trucking industry. In his early years he worked with Walter Gale (Construction), Don Moore (Wood Business), Cliff Sheaves (Construction), Eric King (Fish Truck), Donnelly Farms (Tractor Trailer Driver), Codroy Valley Trucking (Stuart Young) and finished his time out with Codroy Seafoods (Fish truck) under his great friend John Osmond until he became ill.

Don was also a member of the Codroy Valley Volunteer Fire Department for 26 years. He was one of the first men that served and did so until his sickness last year.

Don has left behind a void that can never be filled. His memory, however, will live on in the hearts of those who loved and knew him. His quiet, hardworking nature continues to inspire us, and his love for his family reminds us of the bonds that hold us together. Rest in peace, Don. You will forever be missed, but never forgotten.

The family would like to thank Dads caretaker Joseph Gauthier, who has become family to Dad. We would also like to thank all the Doctors and the nursing staff at Legrow Health Center for providing Dad with the best care.

In keeping with Don's wishes, cremation has taken place under the care of East Haven Funeral home. Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 20th at 2-4pm and 7-9 pm at Holy Trinity Anglican Church Codroy.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday July 21st at  2pm at Holy Trinity Anglican Church Codroy.
