It is with great sadness that the family of the late Annie Mabel Cousins (nee Buttery) announces her passing on Tuesday June 19, at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center in Port aux Basques at the age of 76 years. Born at Grand Bay, Annie was the daughter of the late Albert and Hannah Buttery. She was also predeceased by her sons Scott Cousins and Jerry Lomond, the father of her children Norris Cousins, brothers Charles Buttery, James Buttery, Clyde Buttery, sister Mary Osmond, and brothers in law and sisters in law. Left with fond and precious memories of a loving mother are Annie's children; Albert (Ann) Cousins, Walter (Fay) Cousins, Frederick Cousins (Della) all of Port aux Basques, Monica (Ephriam) Harvey, Dartmouth NS. A wonderful grandmother to Joy, Patricia, Jamie, Michael, Lacey, Barbara, Felicia. Great grandmother of Jarod, Nicholas, Ella, Nicklaus, and Scott. Annie will also be fondly remembered by her sister Betty Francis, brother Fred Buttery both of Port aux Basques, brother Richard (Mary) Buttery of Ontario, her daughter in law Marie Lomond, Grand Falls NL, her caregiver and special friend Leona Kendall, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many, many friends including her church family at the Faith Pentecostal Tabernacle in Port aux Basques where Annie was a long time member of the church that she loved so much. Visitation took place on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at East Haven Funeral Home, Port aux Basques. Funeral services took place on Saturday June 23, 2 PM at Faith Pentecostal Tabernacle, interment followed at Faith Pentecostal Cemetery, Trans Canada Highway.
